Petros is a financial services entrepreneur, retirement plan consultant, and lifelong advocate for financial literacy. He builds businesses that help people pursue a secure and dignified financial future. Over his career, he has been a principal and shareholder across seven retirement and financial services companies. As a leader within the Spectrum Family of Companies, which are now part of Daybright Financial, he focuses on making workplace retirement plans easier to run and easier to use.
Across that work, Petros and his colleagues support thousands of workplace retirement plans and tens of thousands of plan participants and IRA investors. They steward several billion dollars in assets, with an emphasis on clear governance and responsible oversight. Petros is known for translating complex retirement topics into plain language so employers and individuals can make confident decisions.
Petros also contributes to the public conversation on expanding retirement coverage. He has testified on enhancing retirement and savings in America before the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. He has contributed recommendations to the Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans. In Washington State, he has testified before both the House of Representatives and the Senate in support of legislation aimed at expanding retirement plan coverage.
He currently serves as a Governor Appointed Member of the Washington Saves Governing Board, which designs and administers the Washington Saves Retirement Program. Washington Saves addresses the state’s growing retirement coverage gap by offering a simple, workplace-based savings option for employees who lack access to other retirement plans. Petros is also a regular speaker at industry conferences and professional societies, and he volunteers his time teaching financial literacy, where students know him as “Mr. 401(k).”
